The Crystal & Aura Experience

Now before you say that these stories are starting to get a little weird, I must remind you that this is a journey of exploration and new experiences where anything goes, anything! If you were to ask me to write about crystals and auras before I began this journey, I probably would have looked at you as if you were some freak who had a few too many drinks. Now, I must say that I am becoming more of a believer that many of the alternative forms of medicine really do make a difference in some individuals' lives. It is important that I emphasize that the belief in yourself is the key ingredient. Without a belief in yourself and self-love, than the path towards happiness and possibly healing is going to be a much longer one than you could ever imagine. Trust me on this one. As I open myself up to new experiences, without any expectations, I have begun to notice some changes both in body and mind. Instead of analyzing every little situation or event that transpires in my life, I am now just being. Don't worry if you do not grasp this concept at this time because I am writing about it and I am still working through some issues surrounding "just being." The best way I can describe this concept is simply to suggest that you don't live in the past or future. The only moment you have is the present. You can not change the way you dressed for work today. You can not change the thought that came into your mind five seconds ago. It is gone, completed, extinguished, final. If it was a good memory, enjoy it in the present moment or if it was a disturbing experience, view it as opportunity and a lesson in personal growth. Once you have taken away the lesson from the experience there is no reason to hang onto it. An example of this is a hangover. It was a painful experience, but you hopefully learned many lessons from it. How many of my readers can relate to this? I know I am raising my hand and all my high school and college buddies are as well! So why would you attempt to analyze or beat up on yourself for what has happened in the past. Some of you may be saying that you need to analyze these experiences to prepare for the future. Guess what you are doing now? You are formulating an expectation. Think about all the times that you had an expectation of something or someone. How many times were you right on target when that expectation finally evolved? In my 27 years worth of experiences, I would have had a better chance at winning the lottery! If you recall reading my last story entitled, "Seduction of Spirit," I suggested some reading materials, one of which was "Conversations with God," by Neale Donald Walsch. It is a book that I strongly recommend that addresses this concept much more thoroughly than what I just shared with you. Believe it or not, once I have completed reading it, I read it again, and again! It's that intoxicating!

Now onto the crystals and auras! During our two-week stay in Singapore, Liz enrolled in a Pranic healing course that focuses on prana or the body's potential energy. We thought that it would be best for one of us to take the course and then teach the other. Needless to say, Liz is a better note taker and would be able to absorb a two-day seminar better than I ever could. So she went to a class and I slept. Just kidding! On the second day of class the instructor invited me to come and see him during a break and had a crystal that he used during his healings. I was quite impressed with this man who is a master in Pranic healing who I will be talking about in more detail once I have spent a significant period of time with him. Anyway, immediately when he used the crystal on me, I felt more intense pins and needles in my legs. It was a combination of the healing technique and the crystal. He suggested that I make a trip to a nearby crystal store called Ken's Crystals and pick out my very own crystal that I could use on myself. I promised him that I would bring it back to him so he could program its energy towards my goal, which obviously is to walk again. It is beneficial to have a master program your crystal, but anyone can program one if you simply concentrate your own thoughts into the crystal so that its energy is directed along with your own to help you achieve your goals.

Before I tell you about my experience at Ken's Crystals, it is appropriate that I give you some background information on crystals if you are like myself and unfamiliar with crystals. For thousands of years the world has recognized and used the power of crystals. Most ancient cultures held crystals to be sacred and used them for meditation, to clarify their thoughts, and to help in healing. Today crystals are used in computers and laser technology, while retaining their appeal as magical talismans. Formed naturally by ancient geological processes, quartz crystals are found in many parts of the world, and in a diverse range of environments. How does a crystal or healing stone work? Part of the answer is in their creation. When superheated steam escapes from the magma under the earth's crust it carries minerals. These minerals crystallize out on the walls of the fissures through which the steam passes. All crystals form in an ordered pattern and in the case of quartz, every crystal is made up from a geometrically precise spiral of silicon and oxygen atoms held together by jointly shared electrons. When you squeeze a crystal, it emits an electromagnetic field, mainly through the point of helix. When the pressure is released, the crystal simply recharges by absorbing free electrons from the atmosphere. It is this electromagnetic power which can intensify the human electromagnetic field or aura that we all have, giving crystals the power to help clarify thoughts, channel energy, and heal. By "tuning in" to your crystal, you can concentrate its power to help you achieve your purpose.

When Liz and I went to Ken's Crystals, we did not know what to expect. So we did not have any expectations. See how easy this is! We were told that this was one of Singapore's finest stores that offered a variety of crystals, gems, and other healing stones. Immediately when we entered the store me legs began to spasm and the pins and needles fired up again. My legs were moving so much that I could have done a spotlight dance on "Soul Train." Seriously, the energy from the types or number of crystals had a direct effect on my paralysis. Since that visit, I have been told by a number of crystal masters that I probably was a crystal master in a past life and still respond greatly to certain crystals in this life. Whatever the case may be, I carry a crystal around with me most of the time now. At Ken's Crystals, I met the owner, Choo Yeow Chiah. He is one of the warmest, friendliest human beings that I have ever met who showed so much concern and compassion for my situation. After purchasing some crystals, at a very generous discount, I told Choo that I would be returning on May 2nd, which is his birthday and mine. By the way, thanks for all the birthday cards! And if you sent a card without money in it, I know where you live! Just a little traveling humor!

So on May 2nd, Liz and I returned to the store and brought Choo a framed picture of the three of us so he would remember us. Just a word of caution. Never a Singaporian a gift if you don't plan on getting showered with gifts in return. The man is a saint. He gave me a very rare quartz crystal that has water in the middle of it. Needless to say, I have programmed this one to be my healing crystal. It is one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. In addition, he also handed me two, red crystal cards that I have in my shoes at all time. Crystal cards a "waste" by-product of American space research where they were used to store information and when exposed to mechanical pressure, they emit electrons. When I used my electrical-stimulated walking device for the first time since receiving the crystal cards, I placed the cards in my shoes and felt much more energy channeling through my legs. I'll keep you updated on my progress with the walking device and the crystal cards.

Our last experience at Ken's Crystals, for now, was a photo opportunity. Liz and I had our pictures taken that revealed the colors of our aura. I will try to put the photos in the photo gallery on the Web site as soon as possible. Liz's aura can best be described as a rainbow which signifies a very spiritual, sensitive, and intuitive listener, and able to heal others through love and listening. Was Liz a good choice for this journey or what! She will not allow me to describe her aura any further. I'll try to convince her that is for the good of mankind! So you will have to endure a description of my aura for the remainder of this story. It is actually a copy of the printout that I received from Ken's Crystals.

The following is a list of the eight different chakras, the colors that appear in my chakras, and the characteristics that correspond to the given colors:

Center - Orange/Red - Active & Expansive

Throat - Orange - Creative & Artistic

Heart - Orange/Red - Active & Expansive

Right - Infra Red - Vitality or Stress

Left - Orange/Red - Active & Expansive

Solar Plexus - Red - Force of Will

Sexual - Red/Orange - Creative & Dynamic

Root - Orange/Red - Active & Expansive

Center (Experience)
The color seen over your head is what you experience for yourself now. It's the color that would best describe you. If the color is high, it could mean aspirations or what you wish to be.

Orange/Red center: At this point in time, you are driven to bring out and promote your creative ideas and inspiration. You have the confidence and certainty to stand on your own and show the world who you are. "Creative" and "Dynamic" would best describe you now. You may be an inspired entertainer or artist, or perhaps an entrepreneur with an original product. Whatever you do, people are entranced by your charisma and originality.

Throat (Communication)
The color on the throat is traditionally the energy being expressed. The vibrational frequency most likely seen or felt by others around you. Many times your friends will think this is the energy that you are made of. However, it is what you are putting out to the world.

Orange throat: You can't help expressing yourself creatively. Your voice is your instrument, and you may enjoy singing, acting, telling jokes and stories, or just chatting with friends. People find you to be lively and entertaining companion. You are warm, outgoing, and sociable.

Heart (Empathy)
The color on the heart is normally the vibration coming in to your being. The closer it is to you, the sooner it will be felt. A few moments, hours or as long as a few months.

Orange/Red heart: A creative and whole-hearted attitude towards life would best describe you. Full of energy, drive and unique ideas, and you do nothing halfway. You dive in head first, full throttle into projects and relationships that interest you. You feel strongly about expressing your own ideas, either completely for, or against, without ambivalence or apathy. Most of all, you desire your presence be known, seen, and heard. Being curious, fearless, and ambitious, you want to enjoy and experience all that life has to offer. You are a natural leader and trend setter.

Right side (Expression)
The color on the right side is traditionally the energy being expressed. The vibrational frequency most likely seen or felt by others around you. Many times your friends will think this is the energy that you are made of. However, it is what you are putting out to the world.

Infra red right: This color here could mean one of several things: you may be experiencing a period of stress or illness, or most likely, just have an eventful, exciting, action-packed schedule that barely leaves you enough time to breathe, let alone sleep! Everybody is wondering where you get all of your energy from! You don't walk, you fly! You probably have a tendency to want to do everything all at once in a great big hurry, not wanting to spend any time quietly alone or pleasantly idle. Be careful to look both ways before you leap because you have a tendency now to throw all caution to the wind. These are the qualities you put out to the world!

Left side (Future)
The color on the left side is normally the vibration coming in to your being. The closer it is to you, the sooner it will be felt. A few moments, hours or as long as a few months.

Orange/red left: A creative and exciting future is ahead of you. Orange is a mixture of active red and intellectual yellow, a color which indicates originality and independence. Be prepared for an inspired time in your life in which you dive head first into your creative endeavors and personal projects. You will feel the confidence and personal power to begin and complete projects which interest you.

Solar Plexus
The color on the solar plexus is normally the center vibration of your being. The solar plexus is associated with power, money, and called the "money pot" by the Hindus. This is the center of self esteem and ego.

Red solar plexus: "Stop lights," "warning lights," "pushing the limits" are some of the signs that may have something to do with how you are feeling. You may be living life in the "fast lane," experiencing life to its fullest! Your days and nights are filled with stimulating activity, risk taking endeavors, and accomplishments. This is a great time to begin and complete projects. Fun is in store for you. Take care not to "burn your candle at both ends."

Sexual
This energy center of the body is about creativity, sociability, one's emotional life, and sexuality. Sex is a profound source of creativity, joy, and pleasure which is nurturing, healing, and bonding. It is often considered sinful by most manipulative religions and from this aspect can be a source of guilt, fear, and shame. When the energy in this area is balanced, the person will probably have a healthy, positive attitude towards basic love. The sexual center is the position from which one reaches out, expands, and relates to others.

Red/orange sexual: You have the confidence and certainty to stand on your own and show the world who you are. "Creative" and "dynamic" would best describe you now. You are a lively and entertaining companion and usually find yourself the center of attention in most sociable situations. Others may find you extremely desirable. You probably enjoy sex very much, and relish a satisfying and active love life. People are entranced by your charisma, originality, and animal magnetism.

Root
The color of the root area is traditionally the energy of the physical plan and material reality. People with strong energy in this center usually have a red color here and have good survival skills. This is also the center of manifestation. If you are trying to succeed in the world, either by making more money, establishing a business, or accumulating possessions, you will be focusing your energy here. This is also the place from which passion flows and the source of power and ego development.

Orange/red root: Material success and adventure are in store for you. You are probably feeling powerful and confident of your abilities. You are aware of what your unique gifts are. The personality you show the world is dynamically creative and full of passion. You have the freedom in your heart and tend to be an independent spirit. You want to test the limits of your physical as well as creative nature. People know you as an adventurous, unique, risk-taking and fun-loving individual.

You better believe this was one of the best scores I ever got on a test! I better just ride this wave and not let my ego get to attached to these promising words.
